The costumes are hand-made and intricately sewn Kimono dresses with glittering gold and silver threads. The masks are exaggerated, vividly colored and deformed to emphasize the original nature of good and evil characters. 

 With the financial sponsorship of local people and the tour performance records, some groups spend money on very expensive costumes which cost more than $20,000.
